Clear Mind, Steady Breath Bridging Project, Didcot
This project is based at Aureus School, Didcot where 6 primary partners are training in mindfulness to support year 6 students over the period of SATs and transition to secondary school. Many thanks to Aureus School for hosting and supporting this work, and to The Charlie Waller Trust for part funding it. Thanks also to our wonderful partners, In2Minds who have launched the project so successfully.

News: September 2017
The Primary PE and Sports Premium has doubled.
Justine Greening announced this in July 2017 and it is possible that some schools are not aware. Yoga-related teaching for children and training for staff is a highly appropriate application of this funding stream. INSET on mindfulness for the Springline Partnership of schools, 4 September 2017
Thanks to the amazing staff of these 8 schools who arrived at Fitzwaryn School for this half-day introduction to mindfulness, full of energy and enthusiasm. This engaging and highly interactive day was provided by our partners In2Minds, the super-sisters psychologist Louise Hankinson and school counsellor Rachael Williams. We are thrilled that the partnership has invited Louise and Rachael back to provide a follow-up session.
Some feedback from headteachers in the Springline Partnership:
We were so impressed by the workshop that we have built it into one of our RAP priorities for this year.
Some very useful, practical ways of implementing mindfulness and well-being activities… the best SPS INSET so far! Just a case of remembering to use the strategies in a busy day.
What a wonderful day to begin our school year. Louise and Rachel were fantastic; the scientific aspects of how the brain operates was a great lesson.
All staff from our school were animated and interested… Brilliantly delivered… Very thought-provoking… Powerful, meaningful and relevant… Good amount of research… We can see how it can be used for all ages… Really made us think. Lots of scope for what we can do to help.
Summer events: free day yoga retreats for school staff
These events took place in Cassington and Nuneham Courtney. Thank you to the 42 school staff who joined us for a day of yoga and mindfulness (some were a bit camerashy in the photos below and do not appear) … and look out for the next events on this site and on Facebook.
An opportunity to centre myself… To relax, refocus, realising that just a little yoga or mindfulness is better than none at all. Reminds me how important it is to practice on some level in school. I do a little each day – even with 2 year-olds!
Great start to the holidays! Brilliant communication about easing my mind as someone new to yoga.
A wonderfully supportive and restorative day – a gift! I feel great now.
